Mountain Bike Club Ride Powderface Trail

This weeks wednesday night mountain bike ride will be the long loop of Powderface. We will be starting at 7:00pm on Wednesday July 8th. This trail has some very steep sections up and down. The trail is about 22 kms long and should take somewhere between 2 – 2.5 hours. This ride will be an intermediate to advanced ride due to the amount of climbing involved in this ride. We will meet at Powderface parking lot on highway 66 at 7:00pm. If you need more information please email us or leave a comment here.

Liveoutthere Trail Run Tuesday July 7th

Canada Day Mountain Bike Club Ride

This week we will be riding Telephone Loop Trail. Since it is the holiday we will be meeting earlier. Let’s meet at 6pm at the West Bragg Creek Recreation Area. Please email or leave a comment here if you are coming out so we know who to expect. If you need directions please let us know and we can give you directions to the trail head. Hopefully we can get a bunch of people out for a fun mountain bike ride to celebrate Canada Day.

Powderface Trail Club Ride June 24

Our first Mountain bike club ride will be the short loop of powderface trail. We were also thinking that anybody who wants a little more climbing could go up powderface hill for 10 minutes while we wait for anybody who is not as fast. This ride is an intermediate level ride and will be lots of fun. The ride will be on Wednesday evening June 24th. We will meet at Powderface parking lot at 7:00pm. Jumpingpound Loop Trail Run

Wow… with 21 people coming out to run tonight it seemed a little overwhelming but with a trail like Jumpingpound it’s pretty straight forward so no one was lost. The weather was awesome the sun was out and so were the mosquitos and they were very hungry. The fast group ran the whole loop and the slower group turned around at about 30 minutes. Some of the usual suspects were out and we had a few new people out to the group as well. I was wearing my Montrail Mountain Masochist trail shoes and they were excellent.

Only one crash tonight our long time member Brit took a header down the trail and escaped with a few cuts, scraps and bruises. We hope she is okay and recovers quickly… I’m sure she will be stiff tomorrow. Sorry Brit.

Phil and I biked the trail before running it to make sure it was clear of trees and snow but the trail is in great condition.

Next week the trail run is cancelled on Tuesday night but it will resume June 16th see you there.

Dirt4Life Mountain Bike Club

We are fast approaching the start to our Mountain Bike club. The trails are clearing up nicely and we should be ready to ride soon. I would suspect we will have our first club ride in the first week of june. May 12 First LiveOutThere Trail Run

Hey Everybody,

Tuesday May 12th will be the first Liveoutthere trail run of the season. We will be meeting at Paddy Flats Campground Parking area at 7:00pm. We will run for 30min – 40min out and then turn around and run back. The trails are mostly clear and quite dry so it should be a fun run. Trail Run Club

Hello fellow runners. Grace and Phil will be starting their Trailrunning Club again in early May. We will once again be meeting every Tuesday night and running for 1 to 1.5 hours as an out and back.
