The Wicked Lite Double Short Sleeved T. I was unsure of this shirt when I first got it. I thought it would be annoying as the neck is quite tight and the material feels a little heavier than what I am used to for running and biking, however it performed great and stood up well to the abrasion test. I wore these shirts for my 24-hour solo bike race and they have not piled. Usually after 4 – 5 hours of constant use with a pack on the chaffing of the pack causes the shirts to pile. I have also worn these shirts during many of my recent runs with packs on and again I do not have any piling issues. I also have been very impressed that I have not noticed the shirt when running and biking. This is a good thing as I usually only notice a shirt only when it bothers me. These shirts are very durable and very comfortable, I would highly recommend them as your next active synthetic shirt.

I love action wipes for racing and for any of those muddy training days. I got the opportunity to try these things out in Spokane at the 24 hour round and Round bike race. These were great, once I finished the race I used one of these wipes to clean up my legs, arms, and face. Due to riding for 24 hours I was very dirty, I used 1 for my legs, one for my arms, and one for my face. I would think that normally after a not so super dirty ride 1 or 2 wipes would be all you would need. I now keep a stock of these action wipes in the back of my element so that Grace and I can clean up after a run or a ride. If you guys ever get a chance to try one of these action wipes make sure you do they are well worth it.

Riddle…What is warm, fuzzy, soft and very breathable?
Answer: The Arcteryx Hercules Hoody.
This softshell offers a hi-loft interior and a most breathable softshell, making it ideal to wear as a layering piece. It slides better under an outer shell than fleece does, which improves mobility. The Hercules Hoody is made of Polartec Power Shield O²–one of a new breed of softshells that functions like a layer but without the pilling of fleece. The Hercules Hoody also offers a soft wind resistant outer so you can wear it on its own for some protection from the elements. This jacket is a great choice for hiking, walking, skiing, travel, or just for wearing around town to keep you warm and comfortable all day long.

The Mountain Masochist…there is a truely a reason why this shoe has won gear of the year award for 2009. I went for a run in Bowmount park and I have always been a fan of the Salomon XT Wings but I think now there is another shoe that I will trust for those long runs in the mountains although it dosen’t have the quick lace system. The fit of the Mountain Masochist is amazing with the nice breathable upper for those hot days. The Gryptonite sole gives great traction for any terrain you will find off road. This shoe would be great for anyone who wants a shoe that runs with you with great support and feels like a slipper.
